Nope. That’s obvious when you pass through security. They won’t allow you to bring anything on board that could possibly pose a hazard. The fact that they don’t care about cell phones tells you they’re harmless.

If there was even the slightest chance of a serious incident occurring because of a cell phone, they wouldn’t be permitted aboard any type of passenger aircraft.

Phones in airplane mode have never caused an accident. Neither have cell phones in non-airplane mode. The only incidents that telephones cause on airplanes are conflicts between crews and passengers.

The regulations against use of cell phones and electronic devices in flight were written at a time when much less was known about their potential risks for aviation. It is fairly clear today that they don’t really present any risks, but the regulations live on, and airlines continue to heed these regulations for the most part. They do violate them in certain ways, as by letting passengers use electronic devices during the cruise portion of flight (technically illegal, but just about all airlines do it).

FYI, airport security cares nothing about flight safety. Their only concern is security, and they aren’t even very good at that. The fact that they let cell phones through doesn’t mean that cell phones are safe on board. As it happens, though, cell phones are indeed safe.

Non relationship/relationship troubles! help?
Recently I was walking down the street trying not to look up but i bumped into this guy. He seemed really cool and even though I’m not gay we did kiss. Opinions on my statement about love?
I posted this last night but only got one reply, some more feedback would be great. Here’s what it said:

I was answering a question by this young woman who asked…what does being in love feel like? this question broke my heart, because i believe that everyone needs to feel love at least once, even I haven’t felt true love like what she is talking about, but i hope to soon :)..however i decided instead of filling her head with fairytale dreams, i would give it to her straight..heres what I said, and i could sure use a little opinion on what i said, and see if anyone agrees with me:::

Sorry to kind of burst your happy bubble there, but real true unwavering love doesn’t exist anymore. Most nice guys are dead also, I happen to be one of those guys who would actually go for as long as needed without sex to be with the girl I wanted, but we are a dying race. It was officially declared about ten years ago, assholes are taking over the world…It sucks that you’re just hearing this news now. All my species can do now is hope that hummers, anger issues, and goatees all go out of style.Unfortunately for you, girls who actually want a nice guy are going out of business too. This creates a cycle of attitude readjustment. More girls who want the bad guy = more bad guys being created. Outside influences don’t really help either, in movies, guys who blow up innocent people somehow turns on girls, and guys have caught on to that. Acting like they are "the ****" makes girls attracted to them. So all I can say is just hold on, good guys are holed up in various places, you just have to go out of your way to find them. Good men ARE out there but they are hard to find. Love, IMO, is composed of a number of things. Patience, understanding, morals, values, compassion, happiness, being faithful, etc.

Most people, especially younger ones, do not have a clue about those qualities when looking for a good man. They are focused on the looks, money and sex.

Sure, there may be a few young very mature girls who do not make looks, money and sex their first priority when looking for a man, but they too are rare.

Real love comes with maturity and IMO, it’s not a feeling, it’s a knowing.

When both parties know within their hearts they will be there for their partner through thick and thin, not because of how they look or how much money he/she spends or how good the sex is, but when BOTH know within themselves and express to each other those values that really make up love, that’s when you know you are in love and like I said it’s not a feeling, it’s a knowing.

I ask this question because it seems like every well-known actor working in Hollywood has portrayed a policeman or detective at some point in his career. It may be a signature role, such as Clint Eastwood in "Dirty Harry" or Bruce Willis in "Die Hard"; or it nay be mere resume padding, like Tom Hanks in "Turner And Hooch." My point is, what is it about playing a cop that makes it the quintessential American movie role? How much would it cost to build a site similar to…?
Hi, I’m interested in finding out how much it would cost to develop a site similar to what Amazon.com uses.

By no means am I interested in competing with amazon (that would be ludicrous) nor am I interested in developing a site with all the extra features that amazon employs.

These are the core features that would be needed:
- The main CMS platform (ability to add items to catalog, and all the other cms abilities)
- Have a marketplace environment (like amazon’s: allows people to sell their items that are listed in the catalog, and allows buyers to buy from them or my company)
- User rating system similar to amazon’s (for sellers and buyers)
- Drawing commissions on transactions between sellers and buyers
- Support features (administration)

I know that Amazon was started for about a million dollars, but again, I am interested in only the core features that are needed.

Superman a failure? What are you on? Bob Kane noticed Siegel and Shuster’s overall success with Superman and wanted to get in on the action, and DC needed more heroes that were as successful as Superman. Superman is the epitome of American justice’s idealized reputation, moreover, he’s an icon.

Batman the greatest superhero? Well, being a regular man, uh, aside from all of the money and the high-tech toys, he is fairly easy to relate with. He’s a human man who seeks justice. It provides a sort of realism that people appreciate. He is also very capable, I mean, he’s only human, yet he’s able to knock out so much scum and ally himself with those of superhuman abilities.

He’s incredibly, psychologically strong. His parents were murdered in front of him as a child. Instead
of taking his misfortunes out on Gotham- like The Joker does-, and avenging his loss by harming innocent people, he wants to ensure that similar situations happen less frequently by stamping out crime. He is also able to effectively separate Bruce Wayne from Batman, which is important for many superheroes, although psychologically tolling.

The greatest superhero? That’s subjective. The most successful superhero? Well, statistically, that’s Superman (in the actual, material world anyway). But without a doubt, Batman exemplifies human strength, intelligence, and the good of human character, and therefore joins the ranks with the greatest superheroes of all-time.

over-all he is the numero uno, considerin the fact that he does so much & yet gets to be the public enemy…..but when it comes to heroics….superman is a very good competition…!!

Not really. A normal human(but very rich) with awesome gadgets. And the ability to take down pretty much any superhero at any time. He doesn’t just get the criminal, he researches you, hunts you down and makes you afraid of him. Pretty much why all of his villains are insane in some way.

Money doesn’t equal a great superhero.

Batman just is an epic superhero, He’s the one that makes counter plans to counter plans, the man nearly runs the freaking Justice League, he’s strong willed.

Superman has revealed that he wants batman to kill him should he ever go rogue. MAN OF STEEL ADMITS THAT BATMAN IS A BETTER HERO!

The Justice League had to wipe Batman’s mind to make him forget about a crime that they committed.

Is he a master of commercialism? Yeah, but only because he’s been around for 50 years.
